Mission Statement

TOCO empowers children and families through green and community partnerships.

Description

TOCO’s 2 most ambitious programs: The TOCO Shop & TOCO Textile Pantry has served thousands of families. Through referrals from community members, schools, churches, & service agencies, TOCO Shop & Textile Pantry provide subsidized & free material support (clothing, shoes, and housewares) to children & families. Year round they also operate a Backpack Outreach serving the marginalized population in the area. Last year TOCO served over 1385 families through Textile Pantry services & the TOCO Shop served an estimated 7400 families.

Since 2007 TOCO has kept an estimated 750,000 pounds out of landfills & continues to provide families opportunities to learn about sustainability & ways to give back to the community as they expand their reach into new locations.

TOCO’s brand of social entrepreneurship speaks not to financial gain but to a higher calling: service through stewardship of humanity & of the earth’s resources. Sustainability is not an abstract for us; we live it every day. We are excited to expand our reach in order to build neighborhood spaces where we can host workshops for families to explore the concepts of reduce, reuse, recycle, upcycle & more, in order to build that sustainable future.
