Want to give back and have fun working with youth this summer?
Help support PPL's New Foundations Summer Camp program for 6-8 days in August!
For two weeks (M-Th only) in August, New Foundations: A Project for Pride in Living Program holds their annual Kids Summer Camp. We are seeking volunteers to engage youth during Summer Camp by assisting staff and participating in activities that increase youth literacy and social skills.
Schedule: Camp takes place August 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th, 10am-4pm. Volunteers are required to commit to both weeks, though Aug 4th & 11th are completely optional.
Volunteers will support youth in grades K-12th during enrichment and art therapy activities as well as off-site field trips by fostering healthy, safe, and positive relationships, and making sure the youth stay involved. On occasion, volunteers may also assist with preparing, serving, and cleaning up lunch.
