VOLUNTEERS ARE 'DOING THE MOST GOOD’ AT THE MONTEREY PENINSULA CORPS!
Anyone interested in partnering with us in a volunteer’s role should first print and complete the Volunteer Packet (click the link to download form) AND schedule an appointment with Leigh Garibay, Volunteer Coordinator.
(Notice: All volunteers looking to handle food in any capacity are required to provide a current PPD/TB test clearance.) CSUMB Students can receive their TB through the CSUMB Health Center for a $21.00 fee, this fee is not reimbursable.
Immediate volunteer needs are as follows:
- KITCHEN -
Food Prep: 7 am - 12 pm
Dishwasher: 10 am - 2 pm
General Cleaner: 1 pm - 3 pm
(PPD/TB clearance required for these duties)
- 'SABU SHAKE SR.’ GOOD SAMARITAN CENTER -
Breakfast servers
Facility wipe-down
Warehouse and food box sorting/packaging
(PPD /TB clearance helpful, but not required for some of these duties)
- MAINTENANCE -
Shop cleaning
Trash pick-up
Weed pulling
Window cleaning
Carpet cleaning
- CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER -
Arts & Crafts (School-Age Class): 1 or 2 hours per week (10:00 am or 2:30 pm)
Soccer Lessons (School-Age Class): Anytime
Music Lessons (School-Age Class): Anytime
Deep Classroom Cleaning: July 29, 2016 and August 1, 2016

Description
Child Development Center--State Licensed Pre-School and After-School Program.
Good Samaritan Center--Homeless drop-in center with meals, showers and laundry; rental assistance, food boxes and PG&E assistance for low-income and needy families.
Transitional Housing--Housing for homeless families.
Church--Church and youth ministry programs throughout the week during the evenings.
