ProMedica Hospice "Friendly Visitors" help to enhance the quality of those facing end of life by bringing the gift of caring companionship and providing support to their family. The volunteer may offer to read to the patient, play music, assist with activities, talk with or simply be present. Must be comfortable visiting with those having Dementia and may be non-verbal. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, able to make a 6 month commitment. TB and drug test (no cost to volunteer) along with orientation training is required. No weekends, no evenings.
