The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. The Writers’ Room serves students in sixth through eighth grade with year-round, daily writing and literacy support. Our Writers’ Room assists teachers in creating engaging and imaginative writing lessons that 826NYC volunteers will help to execute. So whether it’s sonnet-writing tied to a Shakespeare unit, lab-report writing for Science class, or a guide to healthy living in health class, the 826NYC Writers’ Room will be there.
Volunteers will ensure that the students at MS 7 and Global Tech Prep receive the individualized support and feedback they need to become confident students and skilled writers.
