Help someone learn to read and write better.
Most tutors work one-on-one with an adult student. This allows sessions to focus on the students own needs and goals. We match students and tutors according to a time and location that is convenient for both of them.
Plan on attending one of our upcoming New Tutor Orientations!
"New Tutor Orientation"
This workshop introduces volunteers to our mission, tutoring opportunities, and volunteer options. New tutors must attend ONE orientation class, and then may complete the rest of their intended teaching coursework on-line. As a follow up, new tutors must attend "Keys to Successful Tutoring" as soon as possible after completion of online courses.
