ORGANIZATION: Tasveer

With lots of potential to learn about event management, you will

  • Manage/prepare correspondence for ED, and with other third parties in a professional and effective manner;
  • Correspond with other organizational partners;
  • Help Executive Director in daily office needs;
  • Performs various email errands for Tasveer;
  • Prepare agendas and the meeting
  • Performs other related tasks and special projects as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Willing to be flexible with time;
  • Committed to the mission of Tasveer;
  • Proficient computer skills aka computer savvy;
  • Willing to learn new things & event management;
  • Fluency with Google Drive and MSFT;
  • Good communication and writing skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.
  • Must have the ability to organize, schedule work effectively and handle multiple tasks.

Description

Our objective is to bring awareness to the local community about the rich cultural heritage of South Asia by providing alternative and thought-provoking films, performance, programs, and workshops that are independently produced.

Description of activities: TASVEER, "picture" in Hindi/Urdu, is a community-based organization that is committed to bringing independent progressive films from South Asia and the South Asian Diaspora to the Pacific Northwest. We show independent films, political documentaries, narrative art films from South Asia - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Tibet.
