New Beginnings Family Academy, a public charter school in Bridgeport, serves 500 students in grades Pre-K to 8. Mission: New Beginnings Family Academy provides its students a rigorous education that ensures academic success and builds character in partnership with their families.
New Beginnings actively welcomes volunteers who come once a year, weekly or any amount in between.
Classroom Read Alouds: come read out loud to a classroom in grades Pre-K to 2 nd, either a book you bring or a book from our library. You will read to 20 students, and then have a short discussion about the plot, characters, or even your own life! The discussion is the fun part and really helps our students to grasp and retain the information.

Description
New Beginnings Family Academy is a 400-student K-8 charter school located in Bridgeport. New Beginnings offers nine years of outcomes-based education in partnership with our families, ensuring that our students are not only receiving Connecticut-aligned education but also weekly arts, music, and sports instruction.
