Help PBTF cure the kids!

Love motorcycles and want to help kids with brain tumors? Volunteer for the Western PA/ Pittsburgh Ride for Kids event planning!

Ride for Kids is the longest-running, most successful motorcycle charity event in the nation. It supports the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, the leading nonprofit funder of research into one of the deadliest forms of childhood cancer. The event also funds free educational resources, college scholarships for brain tumor survivors and emergency financial aid for families. Brain tumors are the leading cause of solid tumor cancer death in children between the ages of 0-19. More than 28,000 young people in the United States are living with the diagnosis of a brain tumor, and nearly 13 new cases are identified each day. American Honda is the presenting sponsor of Ride for Kids. Other national supporters include GEICO and Cycle World magazine

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and the Ride for Kids. You engage people in your communities and inspire them to join our mission to eliminate the challenges of childhood brain tumors. Ride for Kids is always seeking enthusiastic and dedicated people who want to help us cure the kids. There are many ways to volunteer for a Ride for Kids event, from leading a task force and recruiting riders to greeting arriving motorcycles and everything in between. A Ride for Kids task force is a volunteer committee that partners with the PBTF staff to plan, prepare for and conduct a Ride for Kids event. We’ve outlined the key positions here and encourage you to work with our ride manager, Brittaneny Shade, to determine the best fit for you.

Main Positions

  • Recruitment Coordinator
  • Sponsorship Coordinator
  • Patient Family Liaison
  • Media Coordinator

The Ride for Kids will take place on August 7th at Seneca Valley H.S. in Harmony, Pa. Monthly meetings take place during the week in prepartion for the Ride for Kids event.
