We are in need of a volunteer to teach tai chi to our senior residents at an affordable housing community in Hillsboro.

Exercise is a vital component of overall health and well-being. At Northwest Housing Alternatives, we work closely with community partners and volunteers to support our residents by providing holistic services so our community members can live fulfilling, enriched lives.

We are looking for a passionate volunteer who is knowledgeable about Tai Chi practice and is dedicated to improving the lives of seniors through movement, exercise, and community connection.

The classes would run for a period of 6-8 weeks (or as deemed appropriate by the volunteer) at a property in Hillsboro.

For many of our residents, this will be their first time taking a class. Some participants may require modifications to participate. We are looking for someone with experience practicing and teaching Tai Chi with a passion to help our residents live active, healthy lives.

Northwest Housing Alternatives' mission is to house those most in need. We build and rehabilitate affordable housing for Oregonians with low incomes, including seniors, families, and people with special needs, and operate a shelter for homeless families with children.
