Social Media Manager


Primary Responsibilities:-

  • The Social Media Manager will utilize social media to cultivate interaction and participation on our pages.
  • He/ She will create meaningful content and schedule some social media posts as well as develop a few ways to keep our audience engaged. Research appropriate content for posting on our groups and engage followers to communicate a bit more. Check-in on our social media channels multiple times per week and be social with our followers. Respond to followers and direct messages.
  • The goal is to create a strong online presence and increase awareness of our mission. We will be planning to migrate some of IPP's online activities to social group sites. The social media volunteer will also assist in doing this activity so we become a more networked organization.
  • The desired outcomes would be an increase in social media followers and web traffic, with the principle outcome being demonstrable fostering of interactions, interconnections, and network experiences.
  • Content Management on the discussion boards
  • Generate a weekly executive summary report on the discussion boards for the Executive team

Experience/Requirements:

  • BA or BS in Marketing, PR & Communications, Psychology, Business Administration.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience working within or leading small SM teams
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
  • Energetic team player with strong initiative, work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous, and professional manner when dealing with the public
  • Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills

International Professors are ambassadors of global education to the developing world. They volunteer on the ground and virtually within an interconnecting network of professionals and students.

Founded in 2009, IPP is a Technology and HR-oriented organization emphasizing cooperation and coordination in service delivery to Professors, expatriate Professors and Universities in the developing countries.

Our organization is run entirely by dedicated and hardworking volunteers.

Much of what IPP does can be summarized into 3 main functions: Consulting, Promoting and Recruiting, often brought into being via interconnections.

Consulting - We have dedicated volunteer professionals and professors who donate several to many hours per week to advise professors, students universities and nonprofit organizations in their areas of expertise.

We provide free mentoring, coaching, training, and tutoring services in various subjects such as Instructional Design, Academic English, Gamification in Education, HR, IT, Blended Learning, etc.


Promoting - The International Professors Project is dedicated to promoting various professor and student projects and researches that contribute to higher education development and international higher education in the developing world.

We love to partner with the other organizations and businesses to help each other better achieve our mission and goals.

Recruiting - Our aim is to attract and recruit motivated and highly-qualified volunteers for educational projects throughout the developing world.
