Looking for an opportunity to be creative while serving in your community? Northwest Housing Alternatives is looking for a volunteer to lead arts and crafts activities for our senior residents at Mayfield Court apartments in Gresham.

Creativity is a vital component of overall health and well-being. At Northwest Housing Alternatives, we work closely with community partners and volunteers to support our residents by providing holistic services so our community members can live fulfilling, enriched lives. We believe that providing residents with opportunities to connect to their creative side enriches their lives and helps them connect to their community.

We are in need of a volunteer to come to Mayfield Court Apartment complex for 2 hours a month to lead an arts and crafts group. We ask for at least a 3-month commitment.

The group will run for a period of 3 months with the potential for the classes to continue based on participant utilization and volunteer satisfaction.

We are looking for a committed individual who is passionate about creativity and self-expression to lead these classes. The projects do not need to be complex or require a high level of skill. Supplies can be provided for each class. Some participants may require modifications to participate.

Northwest Housing Alternatives' mission is to house those most in need. We build and rehabilitate affordable housing for Oregonians with low incomes, including seniors, families, and people with special needs, and operate a shelter for homeless families with children.
