Welcome Animal Rescuers to Atlantic City by volunteering at the Best Friends National Conference

The Best Friends National Conference is coming to Harrah's Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City July 12-15. And we could really use your help to make it a big success.

We are looking for a few very special volunteers to become National Conference App Help Desk Attendant Volunteers. Here are the details:

Time Commitment and Location of Work:

  • 3 hours learning conference app, including attending a training conference call/webinar

  • Wednesday, July 12 4-8 pm (3 volunteers needed)

  • Thursday, July 13th: 6:30 am-6:00 pm (2 volunteers needed, will be split into 2 shifts )

  • Friday, July 14th: 7:30 am-2:00 pm (2 volunteers needed) & 1:30 pm-6:00 pm (1 volunteer needed)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert on Crowd Compass app for conference

  • Staff App Help desk at event

  • Interact with attendees and assist them with uploading app and using its features


  • Tech savvy and comfortable using apps

  • Very familiar with many different kinds of tablets and smartphones

  • Ability to master conference app program (Crowd Compass) and explain it to others

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Previous customer service experience is a plus

  • Must be proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Must provide own transportation & lodging for the conference in Atlanta, if coming in from out of town
