Volunteer Boatmaster/helm - John Bunyan community boat
ORGANIZATION: BMKWEL
Please visit the new page to apply.
The John Bunyan, Bedford's community boat was floated to enable people to enjoy the wonderful river environment in Bedford and to build support to get the Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway Park created. Crewed by volunteers we are looking to expand our team both on land and on the boat. We ask volunteers to do 2-4 sessions (of between 4 and 6 hours) a month and full training is given.
We are in particular need of Boatmasters (qualified to a minimum of Tier 2 for Category A waters) who are available during the summer months (July and August) and experienced helms.
Land crew roles we are recruiting for are to support our Sales, Finance, and Rostering teams.
If you're interested in any of these roles, or want to find out more about the John Bunyan and the Waterway Park project see http://www.johnbunyanboat.org/ or contact volunteering@johnbunyanboat.org
