Keep Calm It’s BINGO Time!!! Come and lead our seniors in a fun game of bingo at Buckingham Garden, an affordable housing program for low-income seniors. BINGO is a fun and friendly competition that gets the heart pumping, where everyone is out to do their best. Volunteering in this capacity gives our residents the opportunity to socialize with each other and members of their community, and will also keeps them mentally engaged and active.

This is the perfect opportunity for individuals with good organization and communication skills to make a positive impact, while having fun and stimulating a friendly atmosphere for our residents. You will create an engaging environment centered in Bingo exercises that promotes fun, communication and social well-being for our seniors. You will host BINGO games that are at least an hour long per month, for the minimum of three months. You are responsible for set-up tools for Bingo social, instructing and demonstrating the fundamentals of BINGO game Rules to staff and residents, and distributing snacks and prices during the activity. You are also required to bring the winning prizes, which includes, but are not limited to: cleaning supplies, personal care items, snacks, etc.

While Volunteers of America Texas has a number of needs and opportunities that we would like to address through volunteerism we do not always have the financial resources to purchase the materials and supplies for each project. For some projects we may ask that the volunteer group to provide the materials and supplies required. Volunteer/agency will need to provide any item needed for their presentation.
