Claretian Associates is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, aspiring Development/Fundraising intern seeking an entry-level volunteer position within a fast-paced, collaborative, fun, and diverse environment.

Claretian Associates is the only non-profit housing developer in South Chicago and provides affordable housing and related services for low-and-moderate income people, build resident-based leadership, and serve as a catalyst in creating innovative solutions to improve the quality of life for local families. We address issues such as housing, environmental awareness, violence, and food access among others.

Projects and Responsibilities include:

• Assist in managing and updating fundraising database (Neon CRM) and donor record keeping;

• Support donor and sponsor communications, including mailings, phone calls and emails - coordinate mailings related to special events and direct mail fundraising;

• Drive engagement on social media;

• Draft blog posts and research content for marketing efforts using the weebly platform;

• Conduct topical research for for grant proposals;

• Assist with prospect research and recording keeping;

• Plan and execute small-scale prospect cultivation events;

• Assist in the coordinate of direct mail fundraising appeals;

• Assist in planning and executing special fundraising events.

Prior experience is a bonus
