Leadership Needed for Education Conference. Now in its third year, the American Lung Association is excited to bring the LUNG FORCE Expo to SeaWorld Orlando. This is an educational event that brings together lung disease patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers with leading experts to learn about cutting edge treatments, support, and research to battle lung cancer and other lung diseases. We are looking for creative and passionate individuals that would like to make a difference in the community to serve on the LUNG FORCE Expo Leadership Team!

The committee’s goals include:

  • Bringing together 150 respiratory therapists, nurses, and allied health professionals to learn about the latest in lung disease.

  • To reach patients and caregivers and COPD and lung cancer to engage in the Expo and learn about important resources.

  • To engage the corporate community in a unique opportunity that brings the entire health care system together through exhibit and sponsorship opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a community ambassador for the LUNG FORCE Expo at health fairs, community events, and other promotional opportunities.

  • Bring creative ideas to the table for recruitment, marketing, communications, and public relations to the monthly Leadership Team meetings. The Leadership Team meets monthly via conference call, meetings lasting between 30 minutes-1 hour.

  • Engage and recruit lung disease participants, health care professionals, speakers, and corporate partners.

  • Attend the Orlando LUNG FORCE Expo on Friday October 21, 2016 at SeaWorld Orlando
