Racing up Orlando Skyscrapers! The American Lung Association Orlando office is seeking a diverse group of individuals interested in joining the Climb Orlando Leadership Team to support the signature Fight for Air Climb event (ClimbOrlando.org). This vertical challenge is a race up the 25 flight stairwell of the Bank of America Center in Downtown Orlando with the main purpose of raising awareness and funds for lung research.
The role of Leadership Team members involves engaging the community to build family and corporate teams, drive sponsorship, catch the attention of local media, develop and implement creative marketing and communications strategies to achieve the goal of raising $165,000 to help those impacted in Central Florida by lung disease.
The Climb Orlando Leadership Team works toward these goals by:
Serve as a community ambassador for Climb Orlando at health fairs, community events, and other promotional opportunities.
Bring creative ideas to the table for fundraising, marketing, communications, and public relations to the monthly Leadership Team meetings. The Leadership Team meets monthly on the 2 nd Thursday of every month, 12-1pm with lunch provided.
Identify corporate prospects for involvement through sponsorship, team fundraising, and volunteerism.
Sign up and lead by example at the event itself on Saturday, March 4 th 2017 at the Bank of America in Downtown Orlando.

Description
For more than 120 years, people living in America have trusted the American Lung Association to protect their lungs, whether it is researching treatments & cures for lung disease, keeping kids off tobacco, including e-cigarettes, or advocating for laws that protect the air well all breathe. Because when you can't breathe, nothing else matters.
