Volunteers are needed to serve meals in the morning and evenings Sundays through Saturdays.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 am - 9:30 am
Dinner is served from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Helping Residents to and from the dining room will also be required.
Dining Staff will offer training and instructions on what is needed to assist with serving meals to the Residents of St. Mary's Home.
Volunteers are asked to report to the dining room at least 15-20 minutes prior to meals being served for setting up or getting drinks ready for the Residents.
Volunteer applications must be completed.
Two TB tests must be done at no cost to the volunteer. Each TB test must be read within 48 hours after taking the test. The 2nd TB test will be scheduled 1-3 weeks after the 1st TB test. Again, you must agree to return to St. Mary's Home to have your TB test read by a nurse on duty.
A criminal backgroud check is also done at no cost to the volunteer.
A required 2 hour training workshop on food handling is required for any interested volunteer. The cost of the training workshop is $12.95 and you will obtain a certificate for food handling which is valid for 3 years.
