A Volunteer Coordinator/Director is needed at the American Veterans Heritage Center located on the Campus of the historic Dayton VA Medical Center. This volunteer opportunity requires that you have the ability to keep accurate records, communicate well via e-mail, phone and in writing, ability to train new volunteers, and have the time and enthusiam to encourage others.
Volunteers may come from other committee members and/or you may recruit volunteers.
This is an on-going need to track and communicate with potential volunteers. Use of Excel spreadsheet is necessary, as well as good communication and writing skills.
You can do almost all of this from your own home if you have a computer, software and internet, or you may come into the AVHC Office. There are periods that are slow and times that peak, depending upon upcoming events or needs.
