We are looking for a diverse group of people to help us fight housing discrimination. By posing as a renter, fair housing testers ensure fair and equal access to housing for all. Testing can take place in person, or by phone or email.
We are currently looking for testers to conduct phone and site tests in Stanislaus County and the City of Merced.
After going through a two-hour training session on fair housing and testing procedures, testers are notified of testing opportunities as they arise. Testers receive a stipend for their time.

Description
Project Sentinel is a non-profit organization. Our primary function is to assist individuals with housing problems such as discrimination, mortgage foreclosure & delinquency, rental issues including repairs, deposits, privacy, dispute resolution, home buyer education, post purchase education and reverse mortgages.
Project Sentinel processes more than 10,000 initial contacts annually. We handle over 600 housing discrimination complaints, open over 1700 landlord tenant and community dispute resolution cases, administer mediation programs in most cities in Santa Clara County, counsel more than 750 homeowners each year and provide monthly workshops on a variety of topics including Homeownership, Tenant/Landlord and Fair Housing.CAUSE AREAS
