During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Farmer Frog is in need of help managing our social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more.
We are looking for volunteers that are passionate about teaching kids and communities about growing and eating healthy food and increasing food access and education in schools and communities! We are a grassroots organization and this is a serious position as we are running our capital campaign and fundraisers.
As part of our COVID response, we are distributing food to folks in need. So far we have moved over 35 million pounds of food since Spring 2020 and currently we are serving over 2 million Washingtonians and a total of 3 million Americans with food.
Experience with social media marketing is a huge plus! Ability to visit our sites at times and connect with our team members in person might be needed. We observe strict COVID protocol.
With multiple volunteers we can divide up this responsibility, so let us know what you are able to do and help with and we will surely be able to find a way you can help that fits with your schedule and abilities! Farmer Frog is Sprouting Simple Change. We grow kids, cultivate community and nurture habitat for all living things through real food.
We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization serving thousands of people with free or low cost fresh food and hands on learning as we also protect the environment and wildlife 365 days a year. We help create, maintain and manage edible school gardens and small permaculture farms. We show educators how to use such spaces as outdoor classrooms to teach STEAM and we assist folks learning how to grow food in whatever space they have available in ecosystem friendly ways.
Our headquarters is in Woodinville. Paradise Farm offers learning and gathering spaces, retreat and relaxing opportunities and is a demonstration site for several important programs including Bear With Me (our wildlife and predator friendly practices), Farmer Frog Studios (our art and film projects) and smart farming systems that include research and partnership with local higher education institutions. We host people from all walks of life, from schools through clubs and corporate teams, various cultural programs, immigrant communities, private gatherings, hands on classes, summer campers, NAMI programming, facilitator-led activities, juvenile releasees and community service oriented individuals.
We'll work with your schedule.
