Compeer's Vet-to-Vet program is designed for veterans who are coping with mental health challenges. The Vet-to-Vet program is designed to offer friendship and support. Recruitment efforts will focus on veteran heroes to become Compeer mentors. Vet-to-Vet mentors are valuable resources for post-deployed men and women as they are knowledgable of available community resources and are able to identify needs that returning soliders may have. Call today to join the team of heroes serving fellow veterans in our community.

Description
Compeer volunteers have an impact on the lives of those they mentor by providing caring, supportive relationships, being positive role models, and helping their mentee gain confidence and a feeling of connection to their community. Individuals referred to Compeer are often lonely or isolated and struggle with peer-to-peer relationships, social skills, academics, feeling accepted, or trusting others. Compeer offers mentorship opportunities that are community-based one-to-one friendships and school-based friendships with children ages 6 to 17, community-based one-to-one friendships with adults, and veteran-to-veteran relationships.
