Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford is looking for a volunteer with great video editing skills to help us capture special events and programs on a one-time basis or up to several times per year! Help us to show potential students, volunteers, and donors what we do - and in the process, help us to reach more people who need adult literacy services in our community. Your videos will be used in our online communications, social media, etc. to help promote our adult literacy programs throughout the year. While our tiny budget does not allow us to pay a videographer, we can recognize you by giving you lots and lots of credit for your videos, every chance we get! For more about LVGH, please check out our website at lvgh.org . Ideally, we would love to work with a professional videographer willing to volunteer their services just a few times per year. But even if you can only volunteer for one event or one video shoot, it would still be an enormous help to us. Examples of events/programs: -Our Annual fundraising Gala, held each March or April -Our Annual Volunteer Appreciation, usually held in mid-June -Visiting one of our Literacy Centers in Hartford or East Hartford during class hours (9:30am-12pm, 12:30-3pm, or 6-8pm) to capture our students and tutors working together (we facilitate getting release forms, etc.) - this can happen at any time of year while our classes are going on. -Other small events throughout the year!
