About

The Summer Youth Camp Volunteers work with program staff to facilitate a positive learning environment for youth living at the Willows in South Seattle. Eligible children stay in the YWCA’s Emergency Housing Shelter and are enrolled in the strength-based Afterschool Program and Summer Youth Camp. The YWCA values diversity and champions anti-racism policies and program delivery.

Camp volunteers promote YWCA values, increase the children’s self-esteem and self-worth, foster interaction between the children and their peers, and improve their social, emotional, and problem-solving skills. Volunteers will be assisting staff with camp activities, meals, and field trips.

We need volunteers who can commit to a shift between 9:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, between July 11th - August 26th.

Come volunteer your time to the Summer Youth Camp and improve the quality of life for youth facing homelessness, poverty, abuse, and domestic violence!
