Not a day goes by when someone couldn’t benefit from a helping hand, a friendly voice, or a sincere smile from a hospice volunteer. Aurora at Home Hospice is seeking volunteers to lend this support to patients and their families.
Individuals donate some of their free time to hospice providing necessary support and comfort for the patients and their families. Volunteers are an invaluable, vital component of our hospice program. We simply couldn’t function without them. Patients enjoy the fresh company and the friendly support that volunteers are able to offer. Listening is one of the most important things a volunteer can do.
Often, during the course of an illness, the primary care-giver and other family members begin to feel the stress of the situation. Volunteers offer the care-givers an opportunity to take a breather while feeling comfortable knowing that the patient is in good hands.
The Aurora At Home-Hospice is a not-for-profit organization designed to provide services for terminally ill patients and their families. Our office works with patients and their families in the Walworth, Kenosha and Racine counties. We will accommodate your schedule and provide flexible hours. The Aurora At Home-Hospice provides hands-on training.
