If you have an interest in combatting hunger and poverty in your community, consider joining the Board of Directors of the Common Pantry. We are a thriving food pantry on the northside of Chicago--the oldest food pantry in the city, celebrating our 50th year! . We have a solid donor base, dedicated staff and volunteers, and long term Board contributors who are seeking assistance with organizational leadership, fundraising, and event planning. You would be expected to attend a Board meeting the second Tuesday evening of every month, join one of our committees, and assist with fundraising. If you have the time and the passion for community service we would love to hear from you. Prospective Board members are expected to attend 3 consecutive meetings before joinig the Board.
