RSVP is looking for some volunteers to assist with the Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP). SHIIP is a service of the State of Iowa and it assists individuals with their Medicare needs such as Medicare enrollment, eligibility, benefits, medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D), Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Supplement Insurance, employee retiree health plans, and long term care insurance. SHIIP services are free, confidential, and objective.
No experience necessary, the State of Iowa will train you!

The mission of RSVP of Clinton County is to promote the engagement of individual’s age 55 and better to contribute to their communities through significant volunteer service, to provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers, and to provide communities with valuable services to meet the unmet community needs.
Description
The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a nationwide volunteer program for individuals 55 and older. RSVP of Clinton County connects volunteers with other area service agencies, special events, and programs to meet the needs of the community.
RSVP of Clinton County serves all of Clinton County including; Andover, Calamus, Camanche, Charlotte, Clinton, Dewitt, Delmar, Goose Lake, Grand Mound, Lost Nation, Low Moor, Toronto, Welton, and Wheatland.
RSVP of Clinton County is a non-profit organization and is a part of Senior Corps. Senior Corps is administered by the Corporation for National & Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency that improves lives, strengthens communities, and fosters civic engagement through service and volunteering. RSVP is locally sponsored by Mobile Meals United, Inc. RSVP is partially funded by the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service (ICVS) and the Clinton County Board of Supervisors. RSVP also depends on local community donations.
