The Capital Chamber Orchestra is seeking business professionals to serve as volunteers on the Board of Directors. This is an excellent resume builder, and board meetings are conveniently held virtually online through Cisco WebEx meeting software. In addition to attending board meetings virtually, board members are requested to fundraise, including meeting with potential corporate donors and other networking. Members are also asked to attend 3-4 concerts per year to help out with tickets, programs, decor and other set up, and greeting customers. Members are required to join one committee of their choice. We are currently in need of board members to join the following committees: Fundraising, Community Outreach, Legal Committee, and Patron Relations. An updated resume is required for application to this position. Previous management and/or administration experience highly preferred, as well as an interest in music and/or the Arts.
We have a particular need right now for a board member with a strong legal background to head the Legal Committee and another with a solid administrative background who would be interested in serving as Secretary.
