Love History? Enjoy public speaking? Then volunteer as a History talk speaker!

The Redmond Historical Society Speakers Bureau is seeking one or two experienced speakers to fulfill presentation requests in the local community. This is an excellent way to learn about Redmond history, share your love of history, and to keep your public speaking skills sharp. Programs are fully developed and scripted PowerPoint Presentations that have been presented by others in the past.

Speakers are asked to:

  • Rehearse the presentation for flow, slide coordination, and timing
  • Recommended: Read one or more Redmond History Books for background depth (there may be questions from the audience).
  • Set up, operate, turn off and takedown a Laptop computer, LCD projector, and screen or have assistants who can handle the tasks. (See next line).
  • Work with assistants who may sell books and collect membership dues.
