Are you interested in learning more about gardening and/or California native plants? Volunteer with the nursery volunteer crew!

The Native Here Nursery volunteer crew is a drop-in team of volunteers that supports Native Here Nursery, a project of East Bay CNPS, a non-profit dedicated to preserving California's native flora for future generations.

Native Here Nursery relies on volunteers to help us sow and pot up native California plants, as well as other tasks that keep the nursery going, like weeding, watering, mulching and cleaning pots.

Volunteering with Native Here Nursery is a wonderful way to learn about different aspects of gardening -- volunteers learn more about the unique requirements of California native plants, how to start plants from seed, botanical terminology, plant health, how to water correctly, and more.

Hours are flexible -- come for as long or as little as you want during our drop-in open hours: Tuesdays from 12pm to 3pm, Fridays from 9am to 12pm and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
