We are looking for someone to help promote our nonprofit. The ideal person would posses the following skill sets:
- People person with outgoing personality
- Results driven
- Experience with running social media campaigns
- Able to attract traffic to social media to help boost awareness of the organization
- Excellent Communication skills (Verbal & Written)
- Able to think outside of the box
- Thrives on Creativity
- Has a passion for helping others
Task/Responsibilities:
- Create campagin ideas to draw in new families/donors/media exposure
- Create social media campaign to increase awareness of the organization
- Send out newsletters via e-blasts to keep supporters up to date on various events, activities, or organizational monumental moments
- Find opportunities/events for the CEO to attend to promote the organization
- Create/Send out press releases
- Attend community events in which the organization will be participating
- Be the spokesperson for the organization

We seek to empower youths and families by improving release outcomes, reducing recidivism rates and assisting families in finding the resources necessary to thrive in their communities.
Description
Unlocking Futures is a nonprofit geared towards helping families who have been impacted by incarceration. The idea for the organization came about as a result of the founder's own experience with raising a child with an incarcerated parent and while doing so, she lacked a support system. Her and her child experienced many hardships and found that there were not any community agencies providing support to families after their loved one became incarcerated. So, she founded Unlocking Futures.
Unlocking Futures provides parenting classes, academic tutoring, and a social and emotional program. The parenting program utilizes an evidenced-based curriculum to help youth and adults develop healthy communication skills while also teaching drug and alcohol prevention as well.
