Picknelly Adult and Family Education Center is seeking canvassers to raise awareness about Adult Basic Education and related services in Holyoke, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for experience in education/nonprofit with a tight knit group of fun loving folks passionate about their work. Duties may include:
-Creating and/or posting flyers at the hottest spots
-Canvas fieldwork at fun local events
-Networking with community members and leaders
-Phone/email/social media marketing

Mission Statement
Located on the third and fourth floors of the Holyoke Transportation Center at 206 Maple Street, the Picknelly Adult and Family Education Center was established by members of the Juntos Collaborative, Holyoke Public Schools, and Holyoke Community College (HCC) to provide Holyoke residents with adult basic education and related services in an easily accessible location.
Description
The center offers high school equivalency preparation and testing, Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes, tutoring and mentoring, career counseling, workforce development classes, transition to college programs, and free and low-cost basic computer and software classes in English and Spanish.
