Volunteer host families for 10 day exchange students

Share your love for our country and community with a youth from around the world! Students from China will be traveling to Lee County for a short-term, academic language travel program. Volunteer host families provide a safe, welcoming environment, a bed for the student (they can share a room with a student their same gender and within 3 years age range), meals and transportation to a designated local bus stop. Local students can earn 30 community service hours!

Aug. 6th - Aug. 16th. Students ages 9-13 go to class during the day and spend nights and weekends with host families practicing their English and immersing themselves in our culture. 8-5, Monday through Friday, students will be with EF staff. Our local team will keep them busy with English and Culture Classes each morning and a variety of activities in the afternoons, making this an easy program for working families to participate in! Students from China are coming to advance their conversational English, improve test scores, learn more about our country and make international friendships and lifetime memories to take back to their country! Great study opportunity for homeschool students, cultural opportunity for families with kids of all ages and for empty nesters who can be an American "mom and dad or grandparent" to an excited youth from China. Students are bilingual and generally academically advanced and have their own insurance coverage during their time here.
