About our Volunteer Guide openings: We are looking for volunteer guides that can participate in our annual winter guide training and commit to at least two participant trips. Our season runs from January to April. Trips are held both mid-week and weekends. No experience is necessary; we will train you to become a proficient cross-country ski guide. Our training also includes clinics in disability and diversity awareness. Training is mandatory (regardless of experience) and you must attend the pre & post trip meetings to participate. The training will be held January 9-12 in Bear Valley, Ca. The pre-trip meeting will be held in San Francisco on a weekday eveing in early December. The training costs $150.00 (scholarships may be available).

Description
Since 1972, ETC has shared wilderness experiences including whitewater rafting, sea kayaking and cross county ski adventures to disadvantaged youth and people of all ages who are visually or hearing impaired, physically or developmentally disabled and people with life threatening illnesses.
