Client Services Volunteer - Computer Intake

ORGANIZATION: Community Table - Arvada Community Food Bank

  1. Client Check In/Intakes for food visits. Initial point of contact for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients
  • Check clients documentation for eligibility per guidelines for food benefits utilizing computerized database
  • Register or update client information (via computerized database)
  • Refer clients to specific services, either internally (Bridges to Opportunity) or outside of Community Table
  • Explain thoroughly, the rules and policies

Time Commitment: One shift - each week

  • On-going AM shift, Th 8:45 am to 12:00 pm
  • Substitute PM shifts, M T W Th Fri 11:45 am to 4:00 pm
  • Substitute PM shift, Weds 3:45 pm to 6:00 pm
Qualifications:
  • Able to comfortably review data & simple data entry in a computerized database; full training provided
  • Detail Oriented & Dependable
  • Enjoy interacting with the public
  • Team oriented
  • Sense of humor a plus

Support: Staff members will be available for questions and assistance.

Age Requirement: 18 or over Dress Code: Casual attire

Background Checks: Required
