We attend adoption events every Saturday from 11-4 at PetSmart in Brunswick, Georgia.
There is always a need for volunteers to get the animals ready for adoption
during the week by bathing and walking them. AND, of course, we always need volunteers
to help with the actual adoption events. No experience necessary - just must love dogs and we also
have cats in the cattery area in the store.

Castaways Pet Rescue (CPR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to community spay/neuter assistance, to community education on responsible pet care, and to facilitating adoptions of the stray and abandoned animal population.
Description
Our, small grassroots, 100% no-kill rescue is located in an impoverished community on the coast in Southeast Georgia. This area has a tremendous need for animal welfare education in our local schools as well as spay/neuter assistance. It is not uncommon to see dogs chained to trees with no water or food, nevermind shelter. Castaways mainly receives animals from local county-funded, open-admission shelters that consistently need space to prevent euthanisia. We are donor funded and struggle daily to make ends meet. All of our work is done by volunteers and no-one gets paid.
