I.W.S. Youth Mentorship Project

This project is focusing on enriching the lives of those affected by breast cancer by focusing on education and volunteerism for low-income teenage girls ages 13-18. The project is to pair up mentors who will be active accountability buddies who provide resources with coping with a disease like breast cancer by volunteering at nonprofit organizations to instill respect for self, others, and survivors (women) of breast cancer. Through understanding the disease and encouraging ways to give back, we are providing a positive outlet instead of creating a negative dark space with no one to lean on in the difficult times of family members fighting such a disease.

We are recuriting mentors in the community, program managers (leaders) who want the experience and training to go on to a Project Manager Certification. We need 10 mentors in the community who can be good role models for the youth in this program.
