About

MPACT is a statewide organization offering support to families throughout Missouri. MPACT Mentors are trained volunteers who, upon request, provide support to parents of children with disabilities throughout the special education decision-making process. Mentors may also assist in other volunteer assignments or activities. The assignments or activities may include:

Assignments:

  • Providing one to one parent assistance, resource, and/or referral by phone, email or in person
  • Parent preparation and support for individualized educational plans (IEP) or other educational meetings
  • Dissemination of resource materials and specific disability information at resource fairs or community events
  • Providing "What is MPACT" presentations to parent support groups, organizations, & universities
