A great opportunity to give back to your community by helping to maintain the inventory in our food pantry. Our food pantry serves over 17,000 individuals on the South Shore and distributes about 780,000 lbs of food per year. The driver's assistant would go out on food pick-ups with our staff member who drives our van. This volunteer would help to load our van with food items that are being picked up from various locations, including local supermarkets. Then the volunteer would help unload the food at our location (105 Adams St in Quincy). As needed, the volunteer would also help to re-stock the pantry shelves. Qualifications include: friendly and personable demeaner; ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.; ability to read, speak and write in English.
