The Liver Life Walk is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for the liver disease prevention and awareness. Held annually nationwide and 2 locations in Connecticut, the event invites participants of all ages and abilities to join the movement for a world free of liver disease.
Volunteers are needed to be part of the host committee to help, from start to finish, with the planning and execution of the Liver Life Walk Hartford in East Hartford on September 18th and Liver Life Walk Fairfield County in Stamford on September 25 th . Activities will include marketing, promotion, planning games, sponsorship outreach, team recruitment, in-kind donations and more.
Meetings are held 1-2 times per month at a location central all committee members.

Our mission is to facilitate, advocate and promte, education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver diseases.
Description
The Connecticut Division of the American Liver Foundation (ALF) is dedicated to addressing the needs of people in all counties within the state through education, advocacy and support. Our programs and services include support groups; information and referral; and educational seminars for patients and their families. In order to provide services and fund life-saving research, the Division hosts a variety of events and campaigns. These campaigns include our signature fund raising event; Flavors of Connecticut, Liver Life Walk, and our annual Memorial Golf Classic. Our educaitonal programs include the Love Your Liver Youth Education Program, Treatment Choices Initiative speakers bureau for those at risk or have Hepatitis C and many others.
