Thank you for your interest in Project Sunshine! Project Sunshine mobilizes over 15,000 volunteers to bring recreational, educational, and social service programming to 100,000 children facing medical challenges and their families in 175 cities across the United States and in four international locations: Canada, China, Israel and Kenya.

Project Sunshine's volunteer chapter in Chicago provides individuals with the opportunity to spread sunshine and joy to children facing medical challenges. Volunteers are a diverse group of students, young professionals, corporate employees, retired professionals and people of all ages and backgrounds. Volunteers provide creative arts and crafts programs, games, and other activities in pediatric medical facilities for children and their family members.

We are currently looking for volunteers for programs on weekend mornings from 10-12pm in Chiacgo. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Project Sunshine is a multi-national, volunteer-based nonprofit that meets the social-emotional needs of pediatric patients and families living with all medical challenges.

Description

Project Sunshine addresses the psychosocial and developmental needs of pediatric patients and their families. Over 18,000 trained volunteers deliver programs that provide opportunities for creative expression, socialization, intellectual stimulation, and sensory integration -ensuring childhood remains a place of wonder. Project Sunshine partners with over 325 medical facilities across the U.S. and in four international locations, serving more than 150,000 pediatric patients and families.
