Surgery Waiting Room Greeter
ORGANIZATION: Corewell Health South Hospital, NILES
Please visit the new page to apply.
The Surgery Waiting Room Greeters are the first point of contact at Lakeland Hospital, Niles when patients and families come in for surgery. These volunteers welcome guest to the hospital, assist guests in getting registered for surgery and take family back to recovery after surgery. Volunteers also help maintain the waiting room by interacting with family members as they wait for loved ones, make coffee and stock supplies.
We have volunteers in the Waiting Room from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with various shifts available. For those who don’t want a weekly commitment - we are even looking for substitutes who would come in when regular volunteers are not available. Even those not familiar with the hospital can enjoy this opportunity - it is easy to learn and lots of fun!
Do you have a couple hours a week that you can give to help those visiting the hospital?
