Africa Agenda wants to take its mission further. In 2018 we have several programs planned which include a quarterly bloggers conference, the launch of a critical news analysis website, an Africa summit in Denver and student internships.
We’re looking for a "take-charge" person who will be responsible for updating and maintaining Africa Agenda’s social media presence, including scheduling Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube updates. This person will assist in planning, writing and managing periodic content, photographic and video updates. Other responsibilities will include the development and distribution of flyers, creating news releases, media alerts, and pitching stories to reporters.
A minimum 4 to 6 months commitment is required for this position. The person selected will be required to attend weekly planning meetings with other staff members on Tuesdays from 5-6pm at the Posner Center in Denver. Proficiency in word processing, PowerPoint, Excel Adobe InDesign and Photoshop highly desired. Knowledge of HTML and graphic design a plus.
