Join the American Lung Association as a Development / Special Events Intern!
The American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, through research, education and advocacy. Join our team of dedicated and diverse professionals in making a difference in the lives of people living with lung disease.
The primary responsibility will be to assist the Development Team with strategic outreach, recruitment and event logistics. This is a great position for someone interested in building professional skills, fundraising events and learning about the non-profit sector. The primary responsibility is to support the administrative, logistical, and planning functions of our special events. The intern will join the special events team in producing the LUNG FORCE Walks (Nov 4th in OC and Nov 19th in LA).
Responsibilities include: recruitment and outreach, research, volunteer management, data management, coordinate mail campaigns, and health fairs/community event participation. Other projects supporting different functions may be assigned.
This position is unpaid. School internship requirements of hour can be provided.

The American Lung Association in California is the leading organization dedicated to fighting threats to lung health including asthma, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), tobacco, and air pollution.
We support basic and clinical research through training and "seed" grants for beginning researchers, advocate for stronger clean air and tobacco control policies at the local and state level, and serve communities throughout California by providing numerous education and support programs to help children and adults living with lung disease.
Our focus is fighting for healthy lungs and clean air for all Californians.
