Join the American Lung Association as a Development / Special Events Intern!
The American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, through research, education and advocacy. The primary responsibility will be to assist the Development Team with strategic outreach, recruitment and event logistics. This is a great position for someone interested in building professional skills, fundraising events and learning about the non-profit sector. The primary responsibility is to support the administrative, logistical, and planning functions of our special events. The intern will join the special events team in producing the Fight For Air Climb in Downtown Los Angeles, CA (April 16, 2016), LUNG FORCE Gala (May 14, 2016) and LUNG FORCE Walk (November 20, 2016).
Responsibilities include: recruitment and outreach, research, volunteer management, data management, coordinate mail campaigns, and health fairs/community event participation. Other projects supporting different functions may be assigned.
This position is unpaid. School internship requirements of hour can be provided.
