The Small Things of Friendship / Granbury & Hood County
ORGANIZATION: Alpha Omega Hospice

You know how to do it. Hospice Volunteering is simply what you'd do for a friend: friendship and practical support for patients and their families through companionship, caregiver break, listening, one-on-one acoustic music or singing, painting for memory stimulation, taking notes for a life story, reading, giving a pat on the back or quietly keeping someone company. You'd be surprised how even the small things, offered in friendship, can improve the lives of patients and the people who love them.
We'll give you a thorough orientation and then we'll support you every step of the way. Adults and students 16+, an hour or so a week (full-time students twice a month).
Also Available: Student Service-Learning Projects for high school and college.
