About

The Community Engagement Assistant is one of a five person team that is directly responsiblefor the implementation and evaluation of Early Connections Learning Centers engagement activities, which include but are not limited to; grants, volunteer management and recruitment, donor relations, and events. The Community Engagement Assistant is critical to the overall success of the department.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Help to manage and maintain the community engagement database system (Abila)
  • Prepare media materials for distribution. (i.e. copying, filing, mailing)
  • Assemble media and donor kits for events and meetings
  • Assist with grant research and tracking
  • Must be willing to work independently
  • Support with special events as needed

Preparation and Knowledge

  • Database management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail is crucial
