We are looking for a small group of volunteers to be our Volunteer Lead Trainers. Volunteers in this roll will manage much of the practical new volunteer training and help new volunteers learn their particular rolls. Volunteers in this position will also service on the Volunteer Advisory Committee and will help to guide our program as we strive to come up with new and exciting ways to best care for our patients and their loved ones. Below are the basic criteria for this volunteer position, no previous experience is required. If this sounds like something that you may be interested in, please give us a call at 818-676-4172 .

• Volunteer for 6 hours per day, on a set day during the week
• Willing to volunteer for at least 1 year consistently (no more than 6 absences a year, not including major holidays)
• Able to communicate effectively, and respectfully, with all ages (ages 15-105)
• Comfortable with making and answering phone calls to new volunteers and volunteers who are struggling
• Able to meet once a month with the volunteer lead team
• Able to train and guide new volunteers in person
• Comfortable answering basic volunteer questions and addressing concerns
• Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time when training and supporting new volunteers
• Takes a sense of pride and responsibility for their volunteer roll as a volunteer leader
