Some photos from intake at Secondhand Hounds! Intake takes place every Saturday and Sunday evening at our office in Eden Prairie.

Intake Volunteer - help with one of our transports when animals enter SHH. We give baths, perform vetting and get the animals all ready to got to their foster homes. This happens a couple of times each week, usually on Saturday and Sunday. The time amount required is around 5-6 hours.

Mission Statement

We rescue animals. We commit to our animals through adoption, rehabilitation, and hospice care. We inspire change.

Description

Since our founding in 2009, we've saved over 20,000 dogs, cats and critters.

Secondhand Hounds is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue based in Minnetonka, MN. Our many volunteers have made a positive impact on the lives of many dogs and cats in our community. Our organization provides safe shelter, proper veterinary care and daily necessities for animals at risk, while working hard to find each a permanent, loving home! Without supporters such as YOU, these dogs and cats will be left to face their challenges alone. They may never know the love of a family or have the opportunity to be someone’s best friend.
