LOOKING FOR PERSONAL SHOPPERS! If you enjoy matching furniture, picking out accessories, and spending time with clients while they 'shop' - we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! We are looking for volunteers who can assist clients as they pick out their furniture. Lifting heavy furniture is *not* a necessity. It takes about an hour and a half to walk a client through the complete experience. You will be trained and supported through the entire process. Message us if you are interested in helping this way!
Shoppers normally come Monday through Thursday from 9:30am until 12pm.
Home Sweet Home is a non-profit furniture bank. Our mission is to give families a sense of pride and to improve the quality of their lives by providing basic household furnishings.

Description
In order to effectively address homelessness in America and impact a long-term solution to this problem, people transitioning out of homelessness need help with stability. At Home Sweet Home, we believe part of that stability comes from establishing a first home stocked with the necessities for everyday life. Part of maintaining a home is usability and affordability. We can help make taking the first step to stable home life comfortable and accessible.
Our services will include pick up of donations by truck, working with case managers at partner agencies to get clients access to furniture, and delivery of new and gently-used furniture and household items to client apartments and homes.
